Stroscia
It is a typical sweet, characteristic for the use of olive oil instead of butter; “strosciare” to break; in fact this coke is very crumbly and so it’s impossible to cut in perfect slices. It is brokenwith hands.

| Ingredients for 8 people : |
1 kg of flour
1 bag of yeast
250 g of sugar
½ l of olive oil
1 glass of Marsala or Vermouth
grated the lemon rind
2 spons of icing sugar
Optional: some almonds and/or hazelnuts

Mix the flour with the sugar and the yeast. Make a well, put the olive oil to and start to knead. Add the liqueur, the grated lemon rind almonds and hazelnuts. Continue to work with the mixture. Put the mixture in a baking tin with olive oil and cover it with 2 spoons of icing sugar. Put in the oven at about 200°C for 1hour and a half.
