What to see
Torre Paponi is an old medieval village as its narrow streets testify.
The parish church dedicated to SS Cosma and Damiano, in baroque style, was designed by Giacomo and Filippo Marvaldi and finished in 1734. In the interior there is a single nave with a series of lateral altars and a number of remarkable paintings, including a very old Madonna del Rosario and wooden statues of patron saints at the sides of the high altar.
The oratory is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and has a number of wooden high-backed chairs standing in the original position all along the walls of the building.
The monument in memory of the civilian victims stands at the entrance of the village and was planned by the architect Papone Bartolomeo in 1984.
